Are you interested in working with underserved high school students? Do you like or want to work with the UCLA Makerspace tools? (No experience necessary, we’ll teach you how Makerspace tools work!)
MakeLA is recruiting!
MakeLA is a new organization at UCLA that aims to connect students from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) with the tools of the UCLA Residential Life MakerSpace. 3D printers, laser cutters, and other machines are for everyone, not just for students interested in engineering — the skills learned by working with these tools can foster creative problem solving skills and can demonstrate that with DIY projects, the sky’s the limit.
Winter Quarter (2021) will be MakeLA’s pilot quarter and we are looking for students who want to be mentors to the LAUSD high school students. You will get a chance to help them learn to use those tools and build a personal relationship with them!
