MannMukti Event
Tuesday, October 15th, 2024Hi! We are Mann Mukti, a dedicated group committed to advocating for our community, shifting the conversation around mental health, and offering valuable resources to the South Asian population. In honor of October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we are kicking off our advocacy efforts by hosting a wellness fair and candlelight vigil on Monday, October 28th from 4-7 pm in Bruin Plaza. Throughout most of the event, we aim to provide students with opportunities to connect with holistic wellness resources and freebies, participate in workshops on building self-compassion and fostering healthy relationships, and engage in self-care activities. In the final 30 minutes, we will come together in front of the stage for a candlelight vigil led by SAHARA, a non-profit organization serving Survivors of all forms of abuse within the South Asian community and beyond. Join us in supporting Domestic Violence Awareness Month and help raise awareness about the impact of domestic violence on our community, as well as the importance of prevention and resources for survivors and allies alike.
