The Mobile Clinic Project at UCLA is now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 caseworking class! 

Community cultivates connection. The Mobile Clinic Project at UCLA aims to improve the health outcomes and quality of life of the unhoused community in the greater Los Angeles area by providing direct medical and social services and making sincere connections through listening to and centering client stories. Caseworkers work directly with individuals experiencing homelessness, serving as advocates for clients who attend our streetside clinic.

It’s the UCLA-wide opportunity for undergraduates to present their research in a public forum. Please submit your application, which only requires an abstract, by April 22nd. The Semel Healthy Campus Initiative Center at UCLA & the MindWell team invites you to our annual Eudaimonia Awards 2024 Ceremony!

Kasley Killam, MPH, will receive a special Eudaimonia Award and share a keynote address about social connection. Killam is a leading expert in social health and author of The Art and Science of Connection: Why Social Health is the Missing Key to Living Longer, Healthier, and Happier. As a graduate of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, sought-after advisor and keynote speaker, and founder of Social Health Labs, Killam has been improving global well-being through connection for over a decade. Her collaborations with organizations like Google, the US Department of Health and Human Services, and the World Economic Forum contribute to building more socially healthy products, workplaces, and communities. Killam’s insights can be found in outlets such as the New York Times, Scientific American, Psychology Today, and Washington Post. Killam’s address will be followed by a Q&A session, and an award ceremony, during which we will learn about the work of UCLA Bruins who have reflected the ideals of Eudaimonia by living a life of purpose and meaning with commitment to the greater good.

Candidate in UCLA’s World Arts and Cultures/Dance Choreographic Inquiry program. PASS US NOT: Holy
Ghosted embarks on the Philadelphia native’s choreographic and directorial debut here in Los Angeles. The work is in conjunction with UCLA WAC/D’s MFA Upstarts Series 2024 and will take place in Glorya Kaufman Dance Theater on Friday April 26th and Saturday April 27th, 2024 at 8pm. All are welcome; admission is free.

2024 SuperCPR – FREE Certifications

The SWC CPR & First Aid Program is hosting its annual SuperCPR event where we certify UCLA students living on the hill for free

Come get free American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certifications, learn how to save lives, and get free goodies! AHA CPR certifications last two years and are important for internships, jobs, and much more. As certified instructors, our organization helps teach the UCLA community how to act in emergencies and better be prepared.

LCCM 2024 Pre-Health Conference

I hope you are all doing well. LCCM, the Latinx/Chicanx for Community Medicine organization at UCLA, is a pre-health organization dedicated to the retention of underrepresented pre-health students. One of the events we host in order to accomplish this goal is our annual pre-health conference where students from high schools, undergraduates, post-bacc programs, and community colleges can learn about the different health professions. There will be a variety of workshops for professional development, career exploration, and networking opportunities that anyone can benefit from!

On behalf of the Latinxs/Chicanxs for Community Medicine at UCLA, we would like to invite students to attend our 20th Annual Conference, “Sembrando Raíces: Igniting your Path to Success”, on Saturday, April 27th, 2024 which will be hosted at the David Geffen School of Medicine in Los Angeles, CA.

UCLA Latine/x Transfer Mental Health Study Opportunity

We are conducting a research study to learn how caring messages may help Latine/x transfer students engage with mental health services. We are compensating each individual with a $25 e-gift card for their participation in a 60-90 minute focus group interview.
