NOMAD III Art Fair – Invitation to Apply

Calling All Southern California Artists!

NOMAD III is back for its third year! This non-commercial exhibition is your chance to showcase your talent alongside a diverse group of artists from Southern California and beyond. Featuring sculpture, painting installation and more from 175+ artists from Southern California and beyond. NOMAD III will be presented alongside the second edition of TRYST, Torrance Art Museum’s international alternative art fair for artist-run spaces and galleries.

What is NOMAD III?

  • A giant artistic gathering featuring sculpture, painting, installations, and more.
  • A platform to connect with fellow artists and the wider public.
  • An opportunity to gain exposure and make connections for future opportunities.

When and Where?

  • Dates: August 23-25, 2024
  • Location: Del Amo Crossing (21535 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance, CA 90503)

How to Apply:

  • Send a letter of interest to Max Presneill (mpresneill@torranceca.gov) with the subject line “NOMAD III”.
  • Include:
    • The type of artwork you would like to present (painting, sculpture, photography, installation, etc.)
    • Example images of your work
    • A link to your artist website or Instagram

Open Call – Exactly.ai

To mark the end of the academic year, Exactly.ai will celebrate the contributions of new graduates and students to creative communities around the world. While we know how hard it is to navigate the current creative economy after graduation, we want to offer graduates and students a supportive network to continue their creative practice after this academic year.

We invite new graduates and current students to submit their artwork created with Exactly.ai to the “Classes of 2024” open call for an opportunity to win prizes, including a cash prize, mentorship sessions, Exactly.ai Grants, and an in-person exhibition in London.

Administrative Assistants: Open to both Graduate & Undergraduates

AAs help with the day to day office operations of the Graduate Student Resource Center with the goal to support the graduate student community and improve the graduate student experience. For one of the open AA positions, we are looking for a specific skillset of photographer/documenting events.

Program Committee: Open to Graduate Student Only

PCs join a team of graduate students to plan and implement a variety of programs supporting mental health, wellbeing, academic success and community development.

We are inviting artists of all career levels to submit their work to our upcoming virtual juried exhibition, Radiant Voices

Radiant Voices is a virtual exhibition dedicated to highlighting the dynamic talents of contemporary women artists from around the world. Juried by a distinguished juried panel of art world professionals including Ekaterina Popova, Alicia Puig, Marina Press Granger, and Liza Zhurkovskaya, we aim to create a vibrant and inclusive show that honors and amplifies the voices of women artists. 

In addition to selecting a wide range of artists to be featured in our exhibition, our team will award special prizes to a select number of artists.
