We are happy to share an exciting experience with you! UCLA’s Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) is seeking to hire undergraduates to service high-need high schools throughout the greater Los Angeles area. Our program’s mission is to deliver personalized, knowledgeable guidance on college admissions and financial aid to low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented high school students.

As members of a statewide movement, EAOP Bruin Advisors will receive training on how to empower students in disinvested communities to explore their college options. Bruin Advisors are compensated at $20/hour and must be available a minimum of 1-2 days per week (M-F) between the hours of 8am-3pm each quarter. We are currently recruiting UCLA undergraduate students for the 2024-2025 academic year. The application deadline is Friday, May 31st at 5PM and interviews will start early July. The Institute of Neuro Innovation @ UCLA is a nonprofit research and philanthropy foundation focused on research, innovation, education, and community outreach. We will be hosting a Research Showcase on May 19th from 5-8pm to present our neuroscience research projects from this year, and we are looking for other students and organizations that would like to present their research as well! Research can be anything related to health or science, any topic is welcome. Doctors and neurosurgeons will be in attendance, so this is also a great opportunity to network!

NOTE: This position is for approximately 35 hours/ week from June through August.

The LA River Arts Summer Camp aims to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and foster compassion in our campers. Join us as we become creative stewards of our environment, learning versatile skills collaboratively and creating art with nature.

We are seeking a Summer Camp Intern with an interest in making and teaching art, who loves working with kids ages 5-11, and can be self-directed in organizing the supplies and operations that are essential for making art with 20-30 kids each weekly session.

Call for Applications – The Vilcek Foundation

The Vilcek Foundation is currently hosting an open call for applications for the 2025 Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Visual Arts and the 2025 Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Curatorial Work.
In 2025, the Vilcek Foundation will award three prizes of $50,000 in each category to early and mid-career immigrant artists and curators whose work demonstrates a unique achievement and exceptional ability. The deadline to apply is June 10, 2024.

The Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Visual Arts:

  • Candidates will be selected for work that demonstrates exceptional creativity, a unique perspective, and professional promise. Artists working in the following areas of practice are encouraged to apply: painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, printmaking, ceramic, textile, digital art, film/video, installation, and performance.

The Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Curatorial Work:

  • Curators and art historians who have curated individual or group exhibitions for public or private institutions including museums, galleries, nonprofit organizations, corporate collections, private collections, for art fairs, or in independent practice are encouraged to apply. Curators must have 5 years of professional experience and must be living and working in the United States.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • To be eligible, candidates must have been born outside of the United States to non-American parents, and must be living and working in the United States. Candidates must have been born after January 1, 1986.
