Job Summary Statement:
Support and advise the Chair of the Department of Art on a wide range of issues and projects, including course schedule planning, faculty meetings and program plans. Plan and coordinate public programs of the department – including student exhibitions, visiting artist lecture series and other special events. Manage the printed publicity materials, and the website for the department. Conduct research, undertake program analyses and generate reports as required. Get Involved – UCLA Volunteer Day 2017

Help inspire the next generation of Bruins on the 9th annual UCLA Volunteer Day, October 7, 2017. The UCLA Volunteer Center is seeking enthusiastic leaders to direct over 30 service projects across Greater Los Angeles. Alumni, staff, faculty, and continuing students are encouraged to register as Project Leaders or Task Captains, who contribute to the planning and completion of a Volunteer Day project and share their passion for service and information about future volunteering opportunities with new Bruins. Training for all leaders will begin in July.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The UCLA Center for the Study of Women (CSW) has an opening for an undergraduate student researcher fluent in spoken and written Spanish to contribute to the research study, “Gender and Everyday Water Use in Los Angeles Households” (https://csw.ucla.edu/gender-everyday-water-use-los-angeles-households/). The study is part of the UCLA Sustainable Los Angeles Grand Challenge grant program and examines how gender shapes the way that people use, value, and save water on an everyday basis. Undergraduate researchers will conduct interviews in pre-determined Los Angeles neighborhood(s) with a significant Spanish-speaking population. (more…)
