The Harvard-Westlake School was recently endowed with a generous gift from art philanthropist and alumna, Arlene Schnitzer. Through this endowment, we are charged to bring fresh artist voices into our school community, culminating in a month-long gallery show in the 670-square foot, Arlene Schnitzer Gallery, and a 30-40-minute artist talk to our middle school community. We are accepting proposals from emerging artists in Los Angeles whose work deals with identity and equity. Artists working in all media may apply. (more…)

Work with a very accomplished elderly artist in Brentwood

We are a looking for a student to work with a very accomplished elderly artist in Brentwood.  The work would entail engaging in art related activities, which would include photography of art and possibly art database work.  The pay would be $25/hour.. Sculpting/Papier-mâché job

My name is Manolo Velez and I am a UCLA alumnus who has a residence in Westwood where I am pursuing some creative remodeling projects. I am in search of an artist who is familiar with sculpting with wire and/or paper mache and that can add his or her perspective on how to shape some design prototypes.

Stained Glass Job

I’m interested in hiring a student to take a small stained glass window apart / separate the glass pieces from the metal. Because I don’t know if the metal contains lead, I want to ensure whoever does this has proper training / safety measures.
