Student Artist Opportunity – Public Mural in Westwood

The North Westwood Neighborhood Council is looking for a student artist to design and paint a large public mural on the north-facing wall of 1400 Westwood Blvd. The mural will be approximately 40 ft x 14 ft, and the selected artist will work with the property owner and the North Westwood Neighborhood Council to bring their design from concept to completion. We’re looking for a design that reflects themes of the Westwood community. Artists are encouraged to consider cultural references to the Persian Square area, which is home to a vibrant Iranian diasporic community.

Details

– Paint and supply costs will be covered by the North Westwood Neighborhood Council

– The selected artist will receive a stipend for their work

– Opportunity to create a large-scale public mural in a highly visible neighborhood location
