Taleamor Park offers artists’ residencies for artists, writers, musicians, and creatives in all media who seek a restorative and productive countryside interlude of two weeks or more.
The 2024 Taleamor Park residency season is April 7 to September 23. Residencies are suitable for both emerging and established artists, writers, and musicians (who may be advanced students, faculty, or independents).
Located near Lake Michigan and 60 miles east of Chicago, Taleamor Park offers trails, woods, and ponds within a working grain farm.
Restored vintage barns and outbuildings offer private, spacious, and well-lit studio spaces.
All residents may obtain free access to The Exchange, a well-equipped MakerSpace created by the LaPorte County Public Library.
Each floor of the 1854 Italianate farmhouse contains two private air-conditioned bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room. Laundry room and library are shared by both floors.
The hosts, both artists themselves, live in the loft of a separate barn and are available as needed or invited.
There is a downloadable application form with fee information.
Work-exchange residencies with fee remission are available on a limited basis.
There is no application fee, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
