JOB SUMMARY: The Hammer Museum offers academic credit internships that foster students’ capacity for professional-level museum service. The Design Intern’s primary responsibilities include assisting with design production and coordination, documentation of completed projects, as well as designing for digital and print projects.

The intern will learn how to work within an in-house design team, track projects from start to finish, and assist the design team with additional tasks as needed. The internship will focus on supporting the museum’s academic and public programs, with potential to assist design staff on exhibitions. Successful candidates will understand basic typographic principles and be proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Familiarity with the full Adobe Creative Suite is strongly preferred. All candidates must submit a design portfolio. 

Applicants must be current enrolled undergraduate students who are able to receive academic credit for their participation in an internship.
