We are looking for five student artists / designers or teams to create five mixed media, large format, interactive installation projects to contribute to the immersive environment and interactivity of our outdoor market.
After the first of the year (2022), UCLA plans to roll out First Thursday Markets, which will take place every month from 6 – 9 p.m., on Broxton Ave in Westwood Village. Each Market will feature a variety of performance (music, dance, spoken word and more), local food and beverage, movies, booths for student groups and interactive activities and installations for students and the community to enjoy.
In January, our Market theme will be Winter Light. At the start of the Winter Quarter, the days may be shorter, but we want to brighten up Broxton Ave. with a dynamic and immersive environment of art, entertainment, and activities built around the theme of light. Winter Light celebrates the start of a new year with the spirit of hope and creation of memorable experiences for Bruins.
Participation in this event will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
