Visiting Professor in Sculpture position – Kenyon College

At Kenyon College, we teach a variety of studio art media to exceptional undergraduates.  This year, we are able to offer a ONE YEAR visiting assistant professor position to an artist with expertise in Sculpture.

Kenyon College is located in the lovely hills of central Ohio, an hour from Columbus, and ranks in the top 10% of liberal arts colleges.  Our students are very bright and industrious and challenge us every day. Some leave us at graduation to become highly successful artists. Many other students achieve success and rich lives because of the foundations we offer them here.

In the past few years the College has shown its commitment to the arts by building a new studio building and a new gallery.  We have six faculty in Studio Art, who have received numerous grants, fellowships, commissions and art residencies. Grants and faculty development accounts are available for artistic endeavors.  We find the time to be productive artists and exhibit our work extensively, which we believe feeds directly into our commitment to excellence in teaching.

We are looking for an artist to join us in this mission for next year.  This length of time will enable the candidate to solidify their teaching vision, within a supportive department.  They will cover courses currently offered in these media, while having freedom to develop some extra special focus of their own with a total commitment of five courses each year.
