DESIGN INTERNSHIP
Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Office of Communications is seeking a design intern for the fall and winter. The Mayor’s Office of Communications develops strategies for communicating with the public through earned and digital media. The design intern will work closely with the digital team on projects that explain the Mayor’s programs and policies.
Responsibilities
- Designing social media graphics, flyers, websites, animations, presentations, and other materials for use by the Mayor’s Office and the City of Los Angeles
- Assisting all Communications staff as needed
Qualifications
Prospective interns should be graduate students that demonstrate an ability to succeed in a professional and fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates are self-starters, fast workers, and come ready to contribute suggestions on projects. Candidates must be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and presentation design.
Requirements
Interns should be able to work 10 hours/week and be able to come to City Hall during the school year. Internships are unpaid, but academic credit is available.
