VIDEO INTERNSHIP
Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Office of Communications is seeking a video intern for the fall and winter. The Mayor’s Office of Communications develops strategies for communicating with the public through earned and digital media. The video intern will work closely with the digital team on projects that explain the Mayor’s programs and policies.
Responsibilities
- Creating videos for distribution on the Mayor’s official social media channels
- Capturing a variety of content in the field
- Editing content and adding effects
- Assisting all Communications staff as needed
Qualifications
Prospective interns should be graduate students that demonstrate an ability to succeed in a professional and fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates are self-starters, fast workers, and come ready to contribute suggestions on projects. Candidates must have experience filming content at live events and in controlled interview-like environments; familiarity with Canon and Sony cameras, audio recording equipment, and lighting equipment; and proficiency with Adobe Premiere and the rest of the Adobe Creative suite.
Requirements
Interns should be able to work 10 hours/week and be able to come to City Hall and attend public events during the school year. Internships are unpaid, but academic credit is available.
