Announcing the Rose Bowl Curriculum Development Internship – Applications for Fall 2017 Now Being Accepted!

 

  • Are you an aspiring educator or an active community volunteer who is seeking a unique and relevant internship? 
  • Do you have experience mentoring or tutoring in LA with a UCLA student group, and do you like working on a team? 
  • Does the idea of building a new educational tour curriculum for one of the region’s most celebrated historic landmarks excite you? 

 

If your answer to the above questions is YES, please consider applying for the 2017-18 Rose Bowl Curriculum Development Internship!  This project-based internship invites Bruins to guide the evolution of the Rose Bowl’s popular educational tour program.  Hundreds of elementary and middle-school students from greater LA participate in this growing program each year.  Your work as an intern will make their visits both educational and memorable.

Local Internships in Arts Education, Film, Animation, Photography – Venice Arts Now Hiring Interns for Fall 2017

VENICE ARTS is a 24 year-old, award-winning youth arts nonprofit, which offers free workshops for low-income families in photography, filmmaking, animation, and multimedia. Venice Arts is an excellent place to build your skills and expand your knowledge in media arts, arts education, participant photography and filmmaking, and arts administration.

 

VENICE ARTS IS HIRING ARTIST-MENTOR CLASSROOM ASSISTANTS

Artist Mentors assist the Teaching Artist in youth media arts workshops for ages 10–18. The ideal Artist-Mentor has experience in photography, filmmaking, animation, or visual art. Experience teaching or working with youth is preferred, but not required. This is a great way to gain teaching experience, and inspire young people to hone their craft.  Artist-Mentor Interns will be trained by Venice Arts, and mentor in our youth programs. UCLA students who can commit through April 28, 2018 are preferred. The internship is typically a three hour/week commitment.  This is an unpaid internship, and Venice Arts will support students in arranging academic credit for their assignment.

HAMMER Registrarial Internship

The intern selected for this position will assist and learn the acquisitions process for works entering the museum’s collection, learn how information on the collection is kept both in the collections database and in paper files, and assist with data entry and file management. This student will learn best practices for artwork storage, object handling, and assist with condition reporting works entering the collection. He/she will also assist with pulling works from the Grunwald Collection for viewing by visiting scholars, classes and curators and assist with updating information in The Museum Systems (TMS), the collections database for the museum’s collections.
