HAMMER Registrarial Internship
The intern selected for this position will assist and learn the acquisitions process for works entering the museum’s collection, learn how information on the collection is kept both in the collections database and in paper files, and assist with data entry and file management. This student will learn best practices for artwork storage, object handling, and assist with condition reporting works entering the collection. He/she will also assist with pulling works from the Grunwald Collection for viewing by visiting scholars, classes and curators and assist with updating information in The Museum Systems (TMS), the collections database for the museum’s collections.
Eligibility: Internships are open to currently enrolled UCLA students who are available for the duration of the academic year (October through June). Hammer Interns are required to earn internship course credit for all three quarters. It is incumbent upon students to fully secure course credit prior to accepting a Hammer internship. Course credit may be offered through academic departments or through the Center for Community Learning. Please check with these agencies for specific requirements and conditions.
