The Art Department seeks an artist accomplished in Social Design whose work shows potential to attain national and international recognition and impact, and bridges the gap between art, design and technology while demonstrating a commitment to the environment and a just and sustainable future. The BA program in Art is an interdisciplinary program. Art majors are encouraged to study a variety of courses within the Art Department as well as in other departments. Faculty in this position will be teaching students with visual arts backgrounds as well as students who study ecology, environmental studies and other fields related to Social Design. The chosen candidate will also teach in our new MFA program in Environmental Art and Social Practice.

At Kenyon College, we teach a variety of studio art media to exceptional undergraduates. This year, we are able to offer a ONE YEAR visiting assistant professor position to an artist with expertise in digital design and foundations.
Kenyon College is located in the rolling hills of north-central Ohio, an hour from Columbus, and ranks in the top 10% of liberal arts colleges. Our students are very bright and industrious and challenge us every day. Our facilities and studio classrooms are housed in a beautiful new studio building. We have six faculty in Studio Art, who have received numerous grants, fellowships, commissions and art residencies. Grants and faculty development accounts are available for artistic endeavors.
We are looking for an artist to join us next academic year. This length of time will enable the candidate to solidify their teaching vision, within a supportive department. They will cover courses currently offered in these media, while having freedom to develop some extra special focus of their own with a total commitment of five courses each year.

The Department of Art at the University of California, Riverside, expects an opening for a temporary Visiting Assistant Professor (VAP) in Art Theory for the 2020-2021 academic year. Position is contingent upon the availability of funding and may require ability to teach remotely as needed. The course load for this position would be two courses in Theory. This position has a salary of approximately $10,500 per course.
We are looking for a candidate with an ability to teach both undergraduate and graduate students in UCR’s diverse practice-based arts environment and welcome applicants with expertise in critical theory and a comprehensive engagement with contemporary art practices as evidenced by publications and teaching experience. Based on qualifications we may consider splitting the appointment between individuals. Applicants should be well grounded in art history as well. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate instruction (one lower-division and one upper-division course), as well as undergraduate advising and graduate reviews. Additional duties include some departmental service as well as meetings with graduate students.
