Attending federal criminal trial in LA

The Center for Justice and Accountability (CJA), a U.S.-based international human rights organization, is looking for art students who might be interested in attending some of a federal criminal trial in downtown LA that will begin on March 2 to do some courtroom sketches. The trial is of a former Syrian official accused of torture and will be historic for both the U.S. and the Syrian community. Students from other art schools (with no prior court sketch experience) have done similar projects with us in the past and it has been a rewarding experience, some examples can be seen here and here. For more information, interested students should contact CJA’s Director of Partnerships and Justice Initiatives, Ela Matthews by email ematthews@cja.org
