Piece by Piece is a a 501(c)3 registered nonprofit social-enterprise which provides wellness support for residents of South LA & Skidrow through free mosaic-art workshops. The Piece by Piece mission is to empower residents who have experienced homelessness or economic insecurity by providing free mosaic art workshops enabling them to build confidence, earn supplementary income, promote wellness and an improved quality of life.
Volunteers play a crucial role in the success of Piece by Piece, and your involvement will truly impact the artists and community here. There are currently a variety of opportunities available:
- Organize, clean, and prep mosaic materials
- Assist with artwork finishing (sanding, painting, polishing)
- Photograph mosaic pieces for our website (photography skills helpful)
- Classroom assistant (prepare materials and support instructors)
- Administrative support (packing orders, managing inventory, greeting artists)
- Supporting the team at events (pop-ups, outreach, etc)
One-time, occasional, and recurring participation is welcome. Groups and individuals alike are welcome. To participate, fill out the interest form on our Get Involved page, or contact amir@piecebypiece.org with any questions.
