Actors in the international system negotiate, exchange, amass, and expend power in their routine decision-making. In this way, power may be described as a currency. In a photograph, students should capture transactions or displays of power within international affairs.
We welcome and encourage a broad interpretation of the theme. Potential topics may include but are not limited to the following:

Displays of power, authoritarianism and coups, enforcement of norms, emergence or adaptation of geopolitical alliances, trust and reputation, human rights, contested territories, cyberwarfare, neocolonialism, trade blocs and disputes, dedollarization, electoral politics

If you have any questions, please contact hemispheres@tufts.edu.
