Join us for Houselessness Days of Service 2024 by the Community Service Commission!
This year, our three-day event is taking place on Week 4, Wednesday – Friday (January 31st to February 2nd)! We aim to educate the UCLA community about the houseless population, provide students with an understanding on housing policy and advocacy in California, and an opportunity to directly serve the houseless communities in Los Angeles.
Here are some ways you can get involved!
Day 1: Introduction & Learn more about Houselessness!
Visit Wilson Plaza between 12-2pm, January 31st to learn more about what organizations on campus are doing to help!
Day 2: Upstream Service
Visit the De Neve Plaza Room between 4-6pm, February 1st to discuss policies with a panel experienced in houselessness policy, research, and advocacy. Join our student organizations to experience letter writing, discussions, and more. Dinner will be provided for all attendees!
Day 3: Direct Service
Join us from 8:30am-1pm, February 2nd at De Neve Plaza Room to either travel outside of UCLA to serve the local houseless community or help with the making of care packages in Westwood. Breakfast will be served to all attendees!
RSVP is REQUIRED for Days 2 and 3 of our event, so please sign up here by January 31: http://tinyurl.com/houselessnessevent2024. We look forward to seeing you there! Email psd@uclacsc.org if you have any questions!
