This year, UCLA’s Chancellor’s Council on the Arts will honor two students, one graduate and one undergraduate as 2023 Class Artists. Students from the academic units represented on the Chancellor’s Council on the Arts–School of the Arts and Architecture, Herb Alpert School of Music, School of Theater, Film & Television, Division of Humanities and Division of Social Sciences–are eligible to nominate themselves or one another.
Submissions of original work will be reviewed by a panel of alumni from the schools. Submissions will be evaluated for originality, aesthetic quality, reach/impact and contribution to UCLA priorities.
Winners will be featured in a UCLA commencement video and storytelling package on UCLA Newsroom and will receive a $1500 honorarium each. For more information and to nominate yourself or a fellow student visit Goarts.ucla.edu. Deadline to submit is Monday April 24.
