Apprenticeship is a cornerstone of LACE’s ethos and legacy with many arts professionals gaining early work experience here. LACE nurtures college students and young adults each year by providing comprehensive hands-on skill development in the nonprofit arts field. Three LACE staff members and one current board member are former apprentices. The Apprenticeship Program provides training in areas such as administration, development, research, communications, exhibition and event production, and facility operations.
The Mel and Leta Ramos Family Foundation was created by family members of the late Mel and Leta Ramos. The Foundation’s work is in keeping with their lifelong passion to ensure that all youth have access to an arts education by providing support to under-funded communities and programs.
