We are launching a new startup and need 5 jr. freelance photographers/sales associates. Not only will the right candidate know how to take a great photo and make clients feel comfortable quickly, but will also be outgoing, motivated, and a self-starter. Your role is as a photographer BUT individuals will also be required to approach new people and offer our photography services, so individuals must be comfortable approaching and talking to new people.
Flexible, part time position. Starting at $14/hour, plus commission on photo sales. Growth opportunities available for the right individuals. Must be flexible and willing to come along for the ride with a startup.
Responsibilities:
- Approach people and sell photography services
- Photograph various groups of people (lifestyle/portraits) in outdoor settings. Must be able to make clients feel comfortable quickly.
- Style and direct clients, help pose and suggest ideas to get the most options in short periods of time (peace signs, jumping, walking candidly, etc.)
- Lightly retouch if needed and upload photos to website gallery within a 24hour period after you shoot.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently with little supervision
- Explore creative ways to enhance systems to improve sales
- Must be willing and able to commute into busy parts of LA (Santa Monica pier, Venice Beach, Beverly Hills sign, etc)
Qualifications:
- Must own DSLR camera, your own computer to upload images
- Photography experience, minimum 1 year
- (Preferred, not required) Photo editing experience, minimum 1 year of experience with image retouching software such as Photoshop for basic retouching, i.e. brightness, etc.
