Dynamic, relevant artist studio in downtown Los Angeles is seeking a painting assistant to start at the end of July.
Applicant must be skilled in rendering and color mixing. You will be using oil paint but experience in this medium is less important than an understanding of color matching and technical drawing skill, training could be a possibility based on skill level/ability to learn new techniques. Applicant must be reliable, flexible and able to absorb direction. Other valuable (but not mandatory) skills include photoshop, digital drawing, illustration, stretching linen, heavy lifting.
The position starts at 3 days a week but can potentially become 4-5 after an undetermined trial period. Rates will be determined based on level of experience.
