The Getty Research Institute’s librarians and curators invite you and a guest to an open house at the Research Library. Learn about available resources and view selections from the GRI’s collections, including the major art library and special collections of rare books and unique research materials such as prints, photographs, architectural draw­ings, artists’ sketchbooks, and the archives of architects, artists, critics, art dealers, and scholars. Also enjoy the GRI’s current exhibition, The Metropolis in Latin America, 1830-1930, a part of the Getty’s region-wide initiative Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA.

Tours will run from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. A wine and cheese reception will follow.

 

Take advantage of complimentary parking for the day, a 10% discount at the bookstores, and the opportunity to explore the Getty Center, which will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Please allow twenty minutes to park and make your way to the Getty Research Institute, where tours will begin promptly at 3:00 p.m. Bring your parking ticket with you for validation; otherwise, the parking fee is $15.00.
