The BEST Team
———–
BEST fosters social justice among campus activists by providing funding, femtorship, and coordination, as well as activist-oriented growth and development opportunities. BEST is an entirely student-led initiative. We are committed to helping you dedicate your time to the work and causes you are called to do.
As a program dedicated to social justice, BEST nurtures movements that support marginalized communities at UCLA and beyond. We are looking for projects that strive to create affirmational spaces for marginalized communities, while fostering solidarity among students, staff, faculty, and community members.
BEST funds student projects that wish to make social justice impacts in their respective communities. We fund projects with a desire to learn, grow, and lead by example. We aspires to provide transformative experiences for emerging organizers, activists, and activist/scholars by offering ongoing femtorship, leadership development, and opportunities for collaboration and coalition.
BEST project can receive up to $10,000 in supportive funding to complete their social justice programs through the academic year. This money is not event-based and can be used to purchase services needed to complete your work.
You can find out the details of the application process on our application page!
