ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Publicity and Marketing Intern, you will strategize and execute campaigns for our roster. You will gain experience in establishing media relationships, securing press coverage, and learn about the elements needed to build successful campaigns.
Tasks include: developing campaign strategies, writing press releases, managing press materials, campaign management, brainstorming media opportunities, updating contact lists, and serving as a secondary contact for clients across all media outlets.
The available internship is unpaid, but we are happy to work with your university to provide college credit. Please contact your academic advisor to determine eligibility prior to applying.
LA County Arts Internships

A new group of positions have been posted to our website for the 2021 LA County Arts Internship Program! Please visit LACountyArts.org/internships/2021 to apply.
In light of COVID-19, here are some of the critical changes we made to support students interested in participating:
- Extended internship window: The program has been extended from a “summer” program typically held from June through August to more of a year-round format. Interns will be able to work from May 31, 2021 through March 1, 2022.
- Internships will be posted on a rolling basis: Interns should check our website at the beginning of each month starting on April 1 through August 2 as new positions will be posted.
- More flexible work parameters: Grantee organizations may elect to have interns work as few as 15 hours a week, and interns may be able to work from home for a portion of their hours.
- Opportunities to connect! Interns will not be working in isolation and will be able to attend monthly virtual events to meet leaders in the field of arts and culture, network with one another, experience arts and culture and more.

Getty Marrow Undergraduate Summer Internship Opportunities in Los Angeles
Wednesday, April 21st, 2021Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internships will be hosted by approximately 60 Los Angeles-area museums and visual arts organizations during summer 2021.
The internships are intended for outstanding students who are members of groups underrepresented in museums and visual arts organizations, including but not limited to individuals of African American, Asian, Latinx/Hispanic, Native American, and Pacific Islander descent.
Eligibility for the internships is limited to currently enrolled undergraduates (bachelor’s degree program, associate’s degree program, or a vocational or technical program below the baccalaureate level) who reside in or attend college in Los Angeles County. Students must have completed at least one semester of college by June 2021, and those who will complete their degree by September 1, 2021 are also eligible to apply. Candidates can be from all areas of undergraduate study and are not required to have demonstrated a previous commitment to the visual arts.

Student Intern Position with Criminal Justice Program at UCLA

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented undergraduate, graduate, or law student to assist the Criminal Justice Program in working on an exciting new juvenile justice know your rights technology project called Knowledge is Power in collaboration with Hack for Los Angeles and Code for America. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to work closely with youth, lawyers, law professors, and coding experts.
The student will be responsible for engaging 3-4 teens/young people in the development of this tool through regular meetings and facilitated learning sessions. The student will be required to attend a weekly meeting with the entire project team. The student will also be responsible for editing and creating content for the know your rights tool, in collaboration with the team. This is a 6-month paid position with the opportunity to extend dependent on acquiring additional funding.

This apprenticeship aims to continue the mission of the Ramos Family Foundation’s Arts Education Initiative –– to ensure that all youth have access to an arts education by supporting transmission of the visual arts in all of its forms.
The role, assumed by one successful candidate, will launch in Spring 2021. The position will include remote part-time work and, pending the development of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, will include on-site work if possible. CalFresh Initiative is Hiring a Graphic Designer!
Wednesday, February 24th, 2021The CalFresh Initiative at UCLA is hiring for a graphic designer! This position is a part-time job that will require students to work around 10-15 hours/week. The designer will help create graphics for events and infographics, as well as run the social media platforms. The designer will also work on other projects to help fight food insecurity on campus and learn how to assist students with enrolling in the CalFresh program. We are looking for designers with experience in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar programs who have past experience in graphic design.
