ACID FREE BOOK FAIR HOSTED BY BLUM & POE SEEKS VOLUNTEERS // OPENING MAY 4. 6 – 9 PM. FAIR MAY 5 & 6. 11 AM – 7 PM

We are pleased to announce ACID-FREE, a three-day art book market and event organized by a collective of Los Angeles-based independent art book publishers. Seventy West Coast and international book vendors will present new publications and projects alongside topical programming including Artist Performances, Publisher Conversations, Film, Video, and Music organized by local artists.

Help inspire the next generation of Bruins on the 9th annual UCLA Volunteer Day, October 7, 2017. The UCLA Volunteer Center is seeking enthusiastic leaders to direct over 30 service projects across Greater Los Angeles. Alumni, staff, faculty, and continuing students are encouraged to register as Project Leaders or Task Captains, who contribute to the planning and completion of a Volunteer Day project and share their passion for service and information about future volunteering opportunities with new Bruins. Training for all leaders will begin in July.

My name is Rebecca Sarvady. I’m the social media director for Bruin Shelter and a third-year English student at UCLA. Bruin Shelter is a student run homeless shelter for college students facing housing insecurity. We are a registered non-profit and our inaugural fall season which will house 9 residents in a facility in Santa Monica begins this upcoming Sunday.
