UCLA Student Committee for the Arts is Hiring

Apply to the Student Committee for the Arts at UCLA to get involved in arts programming on campus. All majors and years are welcome.

The Student Committee for the Arts (SCA) is seeking student applicants for the 2022-2023 academic year. Our committee uses funding from UCLA and the Center for the Art of Performance (CAP) to pursue our mission of supporting and encouraging student awareness and participation in arts programming at UCLA. We aim to provide hands-on experience in arts administration for our committee’s members. SCA is also the host of UCLA’s end-of-year performance at Royce Hall. This year, our Royce Show will be featuring Weyes Blood on May 18th, and in the past we have brought Thundercat, Portugal. The Man, Kamasi Washington, The Marias, Doja Cat, Bob Dylan, and Omar Apollo to UCLA.

Geaux Experiential “Taco Tuesday” Artists Needed

Geaux Experiential is looking for two artists to help us with a corporate Taco Tuesday event on May 31st.  We will need the artists to assist guests with painting glass bottles and offering tips and techniques.  Artists will be compensated for their time.

UCLA BruinCorps Work Study Opportunity

UCLA BruinCorps is a tutoring outreach program that hires work-study and non-workstudy students to provide tutoring across the greater Los Angeles area in elementary, middle schools and high schools. Our tutors provide in-class or after school tutoring in English/Language Arts or Math in one-on-one or small group settings.  Our mission is to not only give back to the Los Angeles community, but also to foster a sense of commitment to community service and provide civic engagement and leadership opportunities for UCLA undergraduate students. 

UCLA BruinCorps is the largest work-study program on campus  and we are currently recruiting work-study students from a variety of fields for the 2022-2023 academic year. Attached is our program flyer, program FAQ and link tree to provide further information to interested students.  This is a great opportunity for undergraduate students to develop leadership skills, give back to the greater Los Angeles community and build a sense of community on campus. We are hosting info sessions throughout week 7 and week 8! Our priority application deadline for recruitment is May 20th, 12pm. Art & Art History Internship (paid)

Arunashi is looking for an intern who is able to take a piece of our jewelry and pair it with:

– Appropriate art through the various genres

– We would provide direction and guidelines on the theme and stories we are seeking however they will need to present ideas. I will further discuss the project with them. 

– Must be able to commit to a 20 hour minimum commitment weekly – and a one month contract.

– Then create an illustration of the ideas with the piece of jewelry 

– Bonus – if they are able to connect this visually through water color illustrations

– Bonus –  as well as through poems and stories through various genres (Not required but helpful)

– This is a project based with several jewelry pieces that need to be matched up and is an ongoing project.

– Compensation based on graduate level/experience and timeliness completion of project.$20-$45/ hour
