Shine a Light Survey

Rise is  leading a campaign to end student homelessness at UCLA. In order to collect more research, we are launching our first ever “Shine A Light” survey –

they experience housing insecurity or not. Entering the survey also gives

Gallery Internship – Fort Gansevoort

Fort Gansevoort 

Established in 2015 and located in the heart of the Meatpacking District, Fort Gansevoort is a contemporary art gallery set in a Greek Revival row house built in 1849. Having expanded to Los Angeles in 2019, the gallery represents emerging and established artists from around the world who have been included in significant museum and gallery exhibitions worldwide. With a strong curatorial and research component, Fort Gansevoort mounts more than six exhibitions per year of both emerging artists and artists whose work warrants greater recognition and an opportunity to be recontextualized.

Exhibition opportunity – CO Gallery

CO Gallery is an inter-office arts initiative to curate quarterly exhibitions in our architecture office space. The exhibition space consists mainly of the wall along a long, frequently-trafficked corridor, as well as additional wall space in an adjoining conference room.  We are specifically seeking flat or wall-relief works, but of course are open to ideas. We typically change shows out every 3-4 months, and host an opening and artist talk at each exhibition’s start. (more…)

Brand thing

A brand activation featuring undiscovered talent will be taking place early next year for Sprite. They are looking for young talent (age 22 and under) to collaborate with and showcase their work in the space. This includes photographers, filmmakers, artists, illustrators, designers, musicians etc.

Art Exhibitions: An Artist’s Toolkit

I am a member of Empowerment Congress Arts and Culture Committee (Los Angeles County Second Supervisorial District). We create opportunities for artists to gain exposure and achieve economic sustainability.

We are hosting Art Exhibitions: An Artist’s Toolkit on July 20th from 10AM to 12PM | Mark Ridley-Thomas Constituent Service Center (across from the Natural History Museum). This free event aims to advance artists’ efforts in getting their showcased in exhibition programs. Curators from CAAM, LA Metro and Skirball will discuss their submission guidelines and perspective on discovering and promoting exhibitions. (more…)
