Wazo Connect is a student organization aiming to improve mental health across campus. Wazo Connect is a peer mentorship program for students who are feeling lonely, stressed or overwhelmed, especially during the ongoing pandemic.

Thursday, September 8th, 2022UCLA BruinCorps is a tutoring outreach program that hires work-study students to provide tutoring across the greater Los Angeles area in elementary, middle schools and high schools. Our tutors provide in-class or after school tutoring in English/Language Arts or Math in one-on-one or small group settings. Our mission is to not only give back to the Los Angeles community, but also to foster a sense of commitment to community service and provide civic engagement and leadership opportunities for UCLA undergraduate students. Through service and professional development opportunities, UCLA BruinCorps develops student leaders on campus.
UCLA BruinCorps is the largest work-study program on campus, hiring over 100 work-study students annually. We are currently recruiting work-study students from a variety of fields for the 2022-2023 academic year. Attached is our program flyer, program FAQ and link tree to provide further information to interested students. This is a great opportunity for undergraduate students to develop leadership skills, give back to the greater Los Angeles community and build a sense of community on campus. The Kids Hall of Fame Project is seeking illustrators
Monday, August 22nd, 2022The Kids Hall of Fame Project is seeking illustrators for its website, upcoming books, etc. Each assignment (emailed to us as JPEG files) is twofold. It depicts the extraordinary achievement of one person under age 20, in color and a duplicate without color, suitable for an 8½” x 11” coloring book. Each accepted assignment includes a byline and $50.
Sample illustrations may be seen on the 14-Year-Old Extraordinary Achievers to the 17-Year-Olds Extraordinary Achievers page of our website www.TheKidsHallofFame.com. Illustrators are invited to send samples of their work to this email address.

The Humanities Administrative Group is looking for an office assistant. The position will include clerical work such as filing/mail distribution/photocopying/scanning as well as assistance with projects/events and more. The student must feel comfortable interacting with faculty, staff, and students on a daily basis. Anticipated pay rate: $16-16.50/hr.
Qualifications:
Students with a work-study award for the 2022-23 academic year highly preferred. Previous experience with office/administrative work is helpful. Must be able to handle confidential information and present oneself in a professional manner. The position is for 10 hours per week with availability on 3 out of 5 workdays. The student must act professional and feel comfortable interacting with faculty, staff, and students on a daily basis. Anticipated pay rate: $16-$16.50.

The ideal student will have a work-study award for the 2022-23 academic year. Previous experience with office, event, and website coordination is preferred. Ability to handle confidential information and to present oneself in a professional manner is essential. The position is for 8-10 hours per week with availability on 3 out of 5 workdays, with occasional shifts on weeknights or weekends for events. Wednesday, January 5th, 2022Aleph provides undergraduates with experiences in editing academic research papers (from reviewing to copy editing), obtaining research skills, and in defining academic interests and objectives as they are exposed to interdisciplinary research topics across multiple disciplines and fields of studies. Aleph is designed as an entry-level experience and allows undergraduates early in their academic careers to participate in editing; hence, it does not require any prior experience in journalism or research to join us.
