Submissions invited for a UK video art exhibition

Out in the Cold will be an international student-run art exhibition at the University of Warwick in the UK. We are hoping to project the exhibition onto a huge wall in the centre of Warwick’s campus. Every evening hundreds of students stand waiting at the bus exchange this wall overlooks. What we want to do is to replace their instagram scrolling with actual art.

While there is no set theme, all the videos will have a strong critical eye tackling important political and philosophical ideas. What matters most is that the students are able to get behind and engage with the videos. Whether this is through absurdism, politics or any other theme we leave for the artist to decide. It can also be as challenging as the artist likes as long as it remains sharp.

Artists across all levels will be exhibited, from students artists up to major established artists. For example, Enrique Ramirez, who has previously held a major solo show at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris and was recently included in the Venice biennale main pavilion, will be exhibiting.

It would be great to get some students from UCLA involved. If you have any artworks that you would like to give some European exposure we would love to see them. Please send over submissions/questions to oliverhnoble@hotmail.co.uk
