USAC CSC Holiday Drive 2023

This holiday season, USAC’s Community Service Commission is partnering with UNICEF and UCLA Recreation Leadership Council to organize a donation drive in support of the upcoming holiday bazaar organized by the International Rescue Committee (IRC), dedicated to assisting refugees from Latin America, Afghanistan, and Pakistan and Ukraine.

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a global humanitarian organization dedicated to aiding those affected by conflict and disaster. Committed to restoring health, safety, education, economic well-being, and empowerment, the IRC provides emergency relief, resettlement assistance, and long-term support. Focused on the most vulnerable populations, the IRC works to ensure that people affected by crises regain control of their lives, fostering resilience and self-reliance.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

  • Physical donation: Donate your pots and pans, lightly used/new winter clothes/jackets/scarves/gloves, blankets, and dinnerware at the entrance of John Wooden Center during operating hours from Mon, 12/5 to Wed, 12/13
  • Virtual Donation: Venmo your donation to @unicef_ucla, and we will buy items to donate to IRC and distribute to families during the holiday bazaar!

The holiday season is a time of joy, compassion, and unity, and by contributing to this drive, you can play a crucial role in spreading hope and comfort to the larger community at wide. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
