CALL FOR SCULPTORS
Petronio Studio is seeking talented sculptors to execute wall reliefs as part of an upcoming, visionary renovation of a historical residential building in Los Angeles. Images of the final project including the reliefs will be featured in publications in the design and architecture sector.
The relief style and form will be determined in tandem with our design directors. Our studio will provide designs and inspiration. Ideal candidates must possess strong fabrication skills, including casting and hand building in clay. Candidates must be able to deliver drafts on paper or photoshop, execute material tests, and be comfortable with working with plaster, wood, latex, resin, foam and other standard sculpture materials. Access to a full fabrication facility is necessary. The final reliefs will be installed on site near Downtown Los Angeles.
Candidates are encouraged to submit 5-10 clear, high resolution images of their work in .jpg format. Images should be accompanied by a brief cover letter where each candidate discusses their interests, process, experience, preferred materials, and other relevant qualifications. Adequate means of transportation to carry materials is strongly encouraged. Candidates must be reliable, inspired, detail-oriented. Compensation and credit offered.
