Studio Textile Internship

Contemporary artist and CalArts professor Sharon Lockhart is currently seeking a motivated studio production intern for Summer 2019. This is a learning internship where collaboration and your voice are encouraged. You will work directly with the artist and assist with an ongoing textile project.
A background in methods of textile dying, sewing, and embroidery is required for this internship. This is an exciting opportunity to experiment with different methods of textile manipulation and collaborate with an artist. This is an unpaid internship, but it can be completed for school credit. Lunch is provided, as is reimbursement for studio errands. Two six-hour days per week are generally required, though the studio offers flexibility with advance notice. This internship will start as soon as you are available or by 5/1/19 and run until the beginning of September.
