Artreach at UCLA is now looking for any students interested in becoming a member or board leader in the Winter quarter 2019. Students will be given the opportunity to provide disadvantaged and underserved communities outlets for art appreciation and creation. Through art workshops, Artreach seeks to inspire, unite, and mentally relieve groups such as foster children, veterans, at-risk youth, elderly, people without homes, and those with disabilities. We aim to encourage higher education and cultivate an environment in which both UCLA and Southern Californian communities can develop a better understanding of themselves and society through art. Mediums include—but are not limited to— drawing, painting, photography, filmmaking, sculpting, collaging, music, dance, and poetry. Artists, art department students, art instructors, art enthusiasts, and any students interested in this cause, are invited to be a volunteer, instructor, or board member.
