The program will reflect on how images communicate, persuade, and shape what can be seen, believed, or known.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rebecca Baron<\/strong>&nbsp;is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles, best known for her essay films. In collaboration with Doug Goodwin, her recent work investigates the role of AI, machine learning, and database design in cinematic expression and communication. Her award-winning films have screened widely at venues including Documenta 12, the New York Film Festival, the British Film Institute, Centre Pompidou, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Her major fellowships include a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Fellowship at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, and a City of Paris Artist Fellowship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Douglas Goodwin <\/strong>is an interdisciplinary artist and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California. His work spans moving image, computational photography, writing, performance, and media systems.
