We would be grateful if you could share this opportunity with students who may be interested in submitting their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the Opportunity<\/strong><br>This unique showcase invites students to explore and respond to the guiding question:<br><em>How have women\u2014and those expanding what womanhood means\u2014shaped the past, present, or future of Los Angeles?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students are encouraged to submit original work in a wide range of formats, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Visual art (painting, photography, digital, mixed media)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performance (dance, music, theatre, multidisciplinary work)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spoken word or poetry<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research presentations or talks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Written work (essays, narratives, hybrid forms)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Submissions will be reviewed and curated by paid high school interns in collaboration with Ebell staff, centering youth voice and leadership throughout the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><br>Students must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be rising 9th\u201312th graders (entering Fall 2026)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reside in Los Angeles County<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be enrolled in an accredited high school program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submissions are open to all gender identities and may be individual or group projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Dates<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Submission Deadline:<\/strong>\u00a0June 1, 2026 (5:00 PM PST)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Selections Announced:<\/strong>\u00a0July 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Event Date:<\/strong>\u00a0August 5, 2026 (in person in Los Angeles)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Submit<\/strong><br>Students will complete an online submission form including a project description, artist statement, and sample of their work (works in progress are welcome).
