{"id":7806,"date":"2023-11-07T14:02:55","date_gmt":"2023-11-07T22:02:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.art.ucla.edu\/?p=7806"},"modified":"2023-11-07T14:02:55","modified_gmt":"2023-11-07T22:02:55","slug":"assistant-or-associate-professor-faculty-position-at-kennesaw-state-university","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jobs.art.ucla.edu\/?p=7806","title":{"rendered":"Assistant or Associate Professor Faculty Position at Kennesaw State University"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure<br>track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Dance faculty position in the Department of<br>Dance that begins August 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Responsibilities<br>We seek an outstanding dance artist\/scholar with a record of accomplishment, an established<br>professional reputation, and a clear trajectory for future excellence in teaching, scholarship<br>and\/or creative activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Teaching undergraduate courses in dance technique, choreography, and\/or other topics<br>and approaches that align with the candidate&#8217;s area of specialization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A teaching load is three courses per semester.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Depending on the candidate&#8217;s area of expertise, they will choreograph, or stage<br>performance works on undergraduate dance majors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The candidate is expected to develop and maintain a peer-reviewed body of<br>creative and\/or scholarly activity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Department\/College\/University\/professional service is expected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional departmental responsibilities include student success initiatives, recruitment,<br>program development, and participation in department and university activities that serve<br>programmatic goals and the mission of the university. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials<br>Guidelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>M.F.A or Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent in Dance, or a related discipline, is<br>required.<br>Preferred Qualifications Include<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least three years of collegiate teaching and mentoring experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Established record of professional experience in the field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An active research portfolio of peer-reviewed scholarship\/creative activity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><br>For a full description of this position, application deadlines, and application procedures, visit<br>https:\/\/hr.kennesaw.edu\/careers.php.
