Minimum Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u25cf Candidates must have previous experience teaching in a high school setting or with high school students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u25cf Candidates must have a bachelor\u2019s degree in Art or a related field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u25cf Candidates must be knowledgeable, sensitive, and inclusive of all cultures and learning styles, in particular those served by St. Mary\u2019s Academy and of the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u25cf Candidates must possess a willingness to promote all areas of CSJ education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Desirable Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u25cf Masters degree and\/or California Teaching Credential<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u25cf Prior background and experience in the study, practice, and teaching of art courses<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u25cf Successful experience working with students and their families in a high school setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Compensation and Benefits for Part-time Employees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u25cf Salary is based on prior work experience & number of courses taught: Average salary of a part-time SMA teacher is $17K-$47K<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u25cf Medical, dental, and vision plan options are available depending on minimum number of hours (30) worked each week<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u25cf Retirement eligibility after 2 years of working at SMA<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u25cf Paid holidays during the school year<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u25cf Accrue minimum of 24 hours of sick leave each school year<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u25cf Professional Development<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u25cf Leadership Opportunities<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u25cf Faith Opportunities<\/p>\n\n\n\n Additional Duties: <\/strong>Additional duties include weekly yard duty, proctoring, study hall monitoring, after-school tutoring and substitute teaching.
