{"id":7662,"date":"2023-04-24T13:43:10","date_gmt":"2023-04-24T20:43:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.art.ucla.edu\/?p=7662"},"modified":"2023-04-24T13:43:10","modified_gmt":"2023-04-24T20:43:10","slug":"paid-arts-internship-tierra-del-sol-studios","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jobs.art.ucla.edu\/?p=7662","title":{"rendered":"Paid Arts Internship &#8211; Tierra del Sol Studios"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This 2023 Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture\u00a0Arts Internship position is open to currently enrolled undergraduate (2 or 4-year) and community college students who reside or attend college in Los Angeles County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Paid Internship: $16.90  per hour for 400-hour internship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>15 hours per week June 2023 through January 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DESCRIPTION<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tierra is seeking an Arts Management Intern to support career artists who have developmental disabilities, to<br>develop and maintain art portfolios. Portfolios, along with a consistent review process, allow artists to develop<br>their skills, as well as receive formal critique and mentoring regarding their technique and work habits. The<br>intern will use retrieval systems (used globally in museums, galleries, and art agencies) as they review physical<br>art inventory, take high-quality photos, document each image, and save and upload the photos to the archival<br>system. Through this project, the intern will advance Tierra\u2019s mission, vision, and values by expanding the<br>impact of the artists\u2019 work, appreciating the talent of career artists, and making it possible for people to<br>appreciate the individual contributions of these artists, regardless of the fact that they have disabilities. This<br>position will work approximately 15 hours per week from June 2023 through January 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Tierra is looking for someone with a passion for art and social justice, is self-motivated, can work independently<br>or collaboratively, and is able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, expanding environment. Based on<br>public health guidance and Tierra policy, applicants should be comfortable working remotely, meeting via<br>Zoom, and working in person as needed. Tierra is a drug- and alcohol-free work environment.
