JOB DESCRIPTION: Assistant Professor Regan Patterson seeks a student
assistant to help her build and maintain a social media presence for the UCLA
Engineering Environmental Justice Lab and other related projects. This position is
a good opportunity to develop hands-on experience in design, marketing, branding,
and communications. You will draft copy and design posts for Instagram
(@engineer_ej and @blackinenviron) and work with Professor Patterson to
execute an overall social media strategy. The time commitment would be 5-10
hours per week. Her research focuses on environmental justice, air pollution,
sustainable transportation, and transportation equity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: High creativity and excellent organization skills, attention
to detail, and dependability are a MUST. Ability to follow instructions and work
independently. Demonstrated ability in creating engaging visuals for social media.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and\/or animation and videos a plus. Good
communication skills to interact with faculty, staff, and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
