Offering an undergraduate concentration<br>and a graduate program in film and visual studies, AFVS fosters myriad practices in contemporary art, film and the<br>humanities broadly construed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Position Description: The Department of Art, Film, and Visual Studies seeks to appoint a tenure-track professor in<br>digital media practice. Of particular interest are practices that may include, but are not limited to, the expanded<br>fields of video, animation, interactive digital art, sound, virtual and augmented reality, and mediated performance.<br>Filmmakers\/artists who identify as people of color or as members of historically excluded groups are especially<br>encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The appointment is expected to begin July 1, 2023, and the tenure-track professor will be responsible for teaching at<br>the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to teaching<br>and desire to join and thrive in an inter-disciplinary and inter-media community of artists and scholars.
