An artist\u2019s studio located in El Sereno, Los Angeles is looking for painters to assist with production of large-scale ( 5-10 ft tall) oil paintings. The position is freelance\/contracted, we\u2019re currently looking for a 3-month commitment (October – December) with possibility for a longer-term employee position thereafter. Scheduling is flexible, minimum 2 days\/week, beginning with a paid trial period. Studio operating hours are Mon – Fri, 10am – 6pm.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsibilities:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Communicate with Artist, Studio Manager, and Head Assistant to agree on painting method and final result, adapt to feedback throughout process<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Produce paintings in accordance with Artist’s desired methods and timelines<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Set up painting station, clean station after use, maintain organization of studio materials <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Maintain discretion about studio operations and follow studio policies regarding communication, safety, and cleanliness<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Several years experience with oil painting<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Technical proficiency with photo-realistic rendering, detailed landscape painting, and precise linework<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Comfortable with large-scale paintings, between 5-10 ft tall. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Self-sufficient, able to work for several hours at a time without direct supervision<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Ability to incorporate feedback and adjust painting style accordingly<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rate begins at $22\/hr, negotiable commensurate to experience<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
