{"id":6616,"date":"2020-05-29T12:30:58","date_gmt":"2020-05-29T19:30:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.art.ucla.edu\/jobs\/?p=6616"},"modified":"2020-05-29T12:30:58","modified_gmt":"2020-05-29T19:30:58","slug":"photo-public-exhibition-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jobs.art.ucla.edu\/?p=6616","title":{"rendered":"Photo public exhibition opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"https:\/\/unitedphotoindustries.us20.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=ce084767e5bd6bb301ba61240&amp;id=82c1d3551f&amp;e=610bb96051\" href=\"https:\/\/unitedphotoindustries.us20.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=ce084767e5bd6bb301ba61240&amp;id=82c1d3551f&amp;e=610bb96051\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Photoville FENCE<\/a> is a year-round public photography project exhibited in parks and downtowns across North America.\u00a0Photographers of all levels (professionals, students, and amateurs) from across the globe are invited to submit.\u00a0Featuring <a href=\"https:\/\/unitedphotoindustries.us20.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=ce084767e5bd6bb301ba61240&amp;id=f1d34a8fa2&amp;e=610bb96051\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">over 85 photographers annually<\/a>, the project brings compelling visual stories into the public realm to an audience of over 9 million.\u00a0The project\u00a0will be exhibited\u00a0in <a href=\"https:\/\/unitedphotoindustries.us20.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=ce084767e5bd6bb301ba61240&amp;id=542f167033&amp;e=610bb96051\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">11 locations<\/a>: Atlanta, Brooklyn, Calgary, Denver,\u00a0Durham, Houston, New Orleans, the Metro (Fargo, West Fargo and Moorhead), Sarasota, Seattle and Winchester.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<table class=\"mcnTextBlock\" border=\"0\" width=\"100%\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody class=\"mcnTextBlockOuter\">\n<tr>\n<td class=\"mcnTextBlockInner\" valign=\"top\">\n<table class=\"mcnTextContentContainer\" border=\"0\" width=\"100%\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" align=\"left\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"mcnTextContent\" valign=\"top\">\n<h2 class=\"null\" dir=\"ltr\"><u>The Photoville FENCE At-A-Glance:<\/u><\/h2>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Submissions are $35\/series, with a deadline of June 4.<\/li>\n<li>A jury of over <a href=\"https:\/\/unitedphotoindustries.us20.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=ce084767e5bd6bb301ba61240&amp;id=8569992361&amp;e=610bb96051\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">60 industry leaders<\/a> who represent diverse voices and professions across the arts and media landscape will review all submissions.<\/li>\n<li>40 artists will be selected for the 9th edition of the Photoville FENCE. Additionally, over 45\u00a0photographers will be selected for Regional Photographers Showcase public exhibitions.<\/li>\n<li>Additional awards will be given to two artists. A Juror&#8217;s Choice winner will receive a $5000 project development cash grant, mentorship, and a public solo exhibition at the Photoville festival in 2020.
