Press interns will assist the Communications team in developing strategies for communicating with the public through earned and digital media.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nResponsibilities<br \/>\n*Drafting letters, social media copy, press releases, and speeches<br \/>\n*Supporting staff at public events<br \/>\n*Conducting background research on special projects<br \/>\n*Tracking media mentions and compiling daily clips<br \/>\n*Answering the main phone line and fielding press requests<br \/>\n*Compiling digital metrics and data<br \/>\n*Assisting all Communications staff as needed<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications<br \/>\nProspective interns must be undergraduate or graduate students that demonstrate an ability to succeed in a professional and fast-paced setting and have a strong interest in political communications. Ideal candidates are strong writers, effective communicators, and fast learners. Prior political internship experience is recommended.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements<br \/>\nInterns should be able to work 12-16 hours\/week at City Hall during the school year.
