STUDIO INTERN – CNC OPERATOR\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Kaari Upson Studio is currently seeking a Studio Intern to work as a CNC Operator for an Axiom AutoRoute 8.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Primary responsibilities include:<\/p>\n

– Cutting material (typically MDF) to size for each specific job<\/p>\n

– Properly mounting substrate to the CNC table<\/p>\n

– Changing bits and spindle speed for specific applications<\/p>\n

– Monitoring CNC operation and intervening if necessary<\/p>\n

– Cleaning, oiling, and performing regular maintenance for the machine on a regular basis<\/p>\n

– Maintaining the dust collection system<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ideal candidates would be:<\/p>\n

– Available two to three days a week, between Monday and Friday, from 9:30 am – 5:30 pm<\/p>\n

– Have previous CNC operation and programming experience<\/p>\n

– Have ready access to a car<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Compensation:<\/p>\n

– $15 \/ hour<\/p>\n

– Lunch provided<\/p>\n

–\u00a0Mileage reimbursement for any travel using a personal vehicle to do specific tasks related to primary responsibilities<\/p>\n

– (If applicable) Studio support to complete paperwork for school credit<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ideal start date is June 1, 2018.<\/p>\n
