In Practice<\/em>\u00a0supports emerging artists and curators in creating new work for exhibition at SculptureCenter. Since 2003,\u00a0In Practice\u00a0<\/em>has supported more than 190 emerging artists with the critical resources of space, funding, time, and administrative support to help turn their ideas into reality.\u00a0Past\u00a0In Practice\u00a0<\/em>participants include: Korakrit Arunanondchai, Fia Backstr\u00f6m, A.K. Burns, Aleksandra Domanovic, Essex Olivares, Brendan Fernandes, Raque Ford, Samara Golden, Elizabeth Jaeger, Molly Lowe, Justin Matherly, Virginia Overton, Sean Raspet, Rachel Rose, Xaviera Simmons, and Josh Smith, among many others.<\/p>\n

In Practice Open Call for Curatorial Fellow<\/strong><\/p>\n

Emerging curators are invited to apply to the position of SculptureCenter Curatorial Fellow. The Curatorial Fellow organizes SculptureCenter\u2019s annual\u00a0In Practice\u00a0<\/em>exhibition, culled from an open call for artists. The Curatorial Fellow will participate in the open call review and receive guidance from SculptureCenter curatorial staff as they develop an exhibition of commissioned works for SculptureCenter, scheduled to open in early 2019. We invite artists to submit proposals for new projects to be presented at SculptureCenter in early 2019.\u00a0SculptureCenter’s\u00a0In Practice<\/em>\u00a0program seeks proposals for new work that offers new ways of considering sculpture or further the understanding of the discipline and how it can intersect with installation, architecture, performance, and other media. Proposals should reflect new work to be realized between fall 2018 and early 2019.
