Up to 12 undergraduates from across campus (students from all majors are encouraged to apply) will receive $7,500 prizes each to pursue their research. Prizewinners will also receive space on campus and a dedicated mentor.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Recipients of the prize will be awarded for articulating their commitment toward a well-described research project that addresses some aspect of technology development, social trends or problems, ethics, and\/or justice, as it contributes to the advancement of the future Internet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The application process is quite simple. <strong>See the website (<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/iri.ucla.edu\"><strong>http:\/\/IRI.ucla.edu<\/strong><\/a><strong>) for application information, including our research mission statement, and FAQ. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applications are due March 20, 2018. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Any questions can be directed to <a href=\"mailto:iri@cs.ucla.edu\">iri@cs.ucla.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce that applications are open for the 2018-19 Undergraduate Internet Research Initiative (IRI) at UCLA.
